This is a question that is impossible to answer without knowing the age and condition of your existing joinery, along with what you’re wanting to achieve.
As a general rule, if the existing joinery is in good condition, retrofit will be a good, viable option, however if the frames are towards the end of their serviceable life, replacement will be the superior option.
